Our Team
Licensed Cadastral Surveyors, based in Takapuna.

How this started
Before GeoSurvey I spent almost twenty years underground and on motorways: Victoria Park Tunnel, Waterview, Puhoi to Warkworth and City Rail Link, running the survey teams on the last three. Then two years as General Manager of Survey Worx, the country's largest employer of surveyors. Great projects, and a hard school. In 2023 I left to run GeoSurvey full time.
Alongside the survey work I spent close to ten years running the Survey and Spatial New Zealand Engineering Surveying stream, and from 2013 I worked on developing the Certified Professional Engineering Surveyor qualification, through to its establishment in 2022. In 2023 S+SNZ gave me their Engineering Surveying Award.
I now assess CPESurv candidates, and I sit on the working group hammering out how spatial measurement competency should be certified in this country. Which is to say: when standards get argued about, I am in the room. We explain the certifications here.
In 2024 we ran one of the first HP SitePrint robots in the country. Non-square building, polished concrete floor, no second chances if the marks went down wrong. It worked beautifully, and it rained about an hour after we finished.
Eight of us now, out of B:Hive in Takapuna on the North Shore, covering Auckland and the upper North Island.

Ruri Whenua

Not sure what the different surveying qualifications actually mean? We explain them here.
